They have a huge selection of ties and images, so mix and match is an option. How fun would it be to have the same image on a variety of colors? Of course the standard uniform colors look just as good, as you can see in the photo above. These ties would make a wonderful gift for the groomsmen as well!

Choreographed First Dances
I keep hearing about the new trend in first dances, and that trend is crazy choreography. This is not a trend I would personally follow, but I *adore* watching other people do it, like in this video on YouTube.
It eliminates the awkwardness of needing to learn an eloquent dance, and it also makes it a lot more fun for the crowd. I've heard some terrible first dance songs in my life, making it completely uncomforable to watch.
Think this is something you would like to do? I have some fun song suggestions that might be up your alley. The second issue of Absolutely Gorgeous contains even more ideas about hip first dances!
And now for the song list:
Weapon of Choice - Fatboy Slim
Napoleon Dynamite Dance (which I cannot for the life of me remember the song)
Spice Up Your Life - Spice Girls
Asleep at the Wheel - Bloodhound Gang
Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now) - C&C Music Factory
Ice Ice Baby - Vanilla Ice
Without Me - Eminem
Breakfast Machine -Danny Elfman (This would take some creativity)

Holiday Gift Set Doubles for Weddings

I listed these as a holiday gift set, but they are so sparkly, they might be nice for a wedding or as a gift for someone in the wedding party. They come complete with a pretty satin box! $25 at Relishdress.

Fun Favors Under $5
I know I shouldn't be talking about my best friend's bridal shower anymore, but I do want to spill a very affordable idea for party favors that can be used on the tables or countertops at the party.
You will need the following items:
Recycled glass jars -The amount depends on how many people you will be having at the party. I'm using washed pickle jars, jalapeno jars, etc. ($0)
Acrylic or spray paint - If you use acrylic, you may want to have ModPodge on hand. ($3 or less)
Candy in the color of your party's theme. (Approximately $1.50 per jar)
Ribbons, also matching your party theme. ($1 in Michael's ribbon bins)
Directions
Wash and clean your jars thoroughly. Be sure to remove any paper labels and residue from glue. Running them through the dishwasher is a great way to get rid of these things, since the steam will wear them right off. Or, for a more eco-friendly result, just take them in the shower with you if you don't use a dishwasher.
Be sure to keep the tops of the jars!
Select colors for your paints. They can be just one color or many different colors. Make sure they match the theme of your party! Make sure while using spray paint to remain in a ventilated area. DO NOT paint the inside of the lid. You don't want your candy to be toxic!
Paint the jar lids away from the glass jars. You do not want any paint to get on the jars! Let dry. Seal if necessary.
While the lids are drying, select candy for each jar. You can mix it up or remain uniform. One jar of colorful gumdrops might look lovely, while another jar of pink peppermints might just do the trick. Make sure not to leave the candy in the jar without a lid! It will get stale.
Once the tops are dry, put the candy into the jar and put the lid on.
Take your ribbons and tie them on the tops of the jars for embellishment.
Ta-da! Sweet party favors for a great price. You can make one or a bunch, depending on your guest list!
I can't wait to make these next month.

Quick Update!
I am back from the craft show in Florida, and something I ordered in the mail for my BFF D's bridal shower came in the mail. I can't even believe how fabulous this is going to be. I can't really spill too many details, but it involves massive amounts of flowers in many pretty colors. I can promise pictures after the event takes place. I just hope I can pull off all of my plans in the short amount of time I have to plan this thing. Looks like it's going to be at the end of January, providing the weather is okay. Eeee!

Shoes - Need I Say More?
My wedding shoes were a boring silver pair from Payless, but yours don't have to be, especially if shoes are your thing. Check out these beauties!
